Climate change is not a popular subject amongst doctors, it seems! LimeGreen asked the 160,000 members of doctors.net.uk for their questions and comments to Dr Mike Gill, co-chair of the Climate Change and Health Council. Many of them were cynical about the evidence for climate change and whether action now can make a difference. Dr Mke Gill told us climate change is the biggest cause of environmental disadvantage for developing countries, that changing our lifestyle to prevent climate change would have a huge positive effect on obesity and other health conditions in the UK and that doing the right things now might not stop climate change, but can slow it down.
