23-04-2010: A record year for new media interaction with doctors

A record level of engagement with new media content includes many podcasts produced for Doctors.net.uk by LimeGreen Media.

Dr Tim Ringrose, medical director of the website, says “Podcasts produced in partnership with Lime Green Media are a vital part of Doctors.net.uk’s suite of multimedia services. Busy doctors really value the highly insightful and professionally conducted interviews with key people, about topical issues such as the flu pandemic, revalidation and junior doctors hours.”

He believes the step change can be attributed to an increased confidence and familiarity with professional online resources. "There is clearly a need for trusted online resources... The leap in usage of learning modules, conference highlights and podcasts is illustrative of opportunities that can be harnessed by the sector... More and more doctors are turning to such services for relevant updates or to gain insights from thought leaders."
